Bay Area Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII)

General information

The Health System works with other health departments in the San Francisco Bay Area to improve public health practices and address health inequities across the region. BARHII, the Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative, is a collaboration that includes public health directors, health officers, senior managers, and staff from local health departments in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma, and the City of Berkeley.

BARHII’s work is organized into committees focused on data, community, built environment, and internal capacity.
